Unfortunatelly, I couldn't finish this book so I don't feel like my review based on the very first chapter is appropriate, but I will still tell you how I feel about the part that I have actually read.

I am from Croatia and the reason why I dnf-ed this book is because it was triggering to me. As someone who lived during the war I felt uncomfortable reading about Knin and especially the name Krajina triggered me.

As for the writing style it was easy to follow and simple, although it was a peculiar experience to characters speak in English when I could easily imagine their coversation spoken in Croatian.

Overall, because I read so little of it I can't properly review it but what I can say that this book was easy to follow and I can imagine people would enjoy it.

Did not finish this book as I was not enjoying it .
