Addi, the baby of her family is in trouble as usual. This time though, she wants to bail herself out. After quitting her corporate job to become a novelist, she's running so low on funds that the bank is ready to foreclose on the house her Aunt willed to her.
Finally it seems like things are turning around when she meets Roque. He wants to use Addi's house in his next film project. The drawback? As part of her contract she requires he give her a job, and money for hotel accommodations during filming.
What Roque doesn't know? Addi is squirreling away every dime of that hotel money and secretly staying in her own attic.
I have to say the one thing that really bugged me about this book was Roque's unforgiving attitude when he learned of her secrets. I get it, secrets are bad. I just thought his attitude went a little over the top. Yes, we do get an HEA, but it took a bit of honestly to get there.
