This book was very fun and cute. A fast, easy read. But I found it hard to like and connect to the main character.

I thought this book was really cute. I likes the comic strips that were interspersed throughout the story. I don't think I always got their significance to the story but I still enjoyed them. Alba was a frustrating character with her inability to make a decision as to what she wanted to do with her life. I get that change is scary but stop burying your head in the dirt girl. I loved Alba's relationship with her little friend group especially Grady. Their relationship was definitely the highlight of the book. Also this book made me want to go to Australia more than ever before. Christmas in the sweltering heat sounds amazing. Comic book fans and those looking for a coming of age tale will enjoy this light-hearted read.
