I haven't read the first book in this series but I really love the brother's best friend trope so I decided to go ahead with this one. Unfortunately I wasn't invested in the romance at all, I didn't feel the tension between them and there was a lot of back-and-forth in terms of their emotions and interactions with each other that didn't really work for me. I also found the heroine very childish and unlikeable.
