A delightful interpretation of the classic fairy tale. I would recommend this for any picture book library - both public, school or home.

This version of Little Red Riding Hood features two color illustrations -- bright red and black. The black lines are strong and defining, just like Little Red in this book. She surely doesn't need anyone to come rescue her! Very enjoyable version.

We love this fairytale retelling from Bethan Woollvin which seems way more relevant to today's kids. The events of fairy tales "might scare some little girls but not this little girl!" I mean who really believes that Little Red Riding Hood mistook a wolf for her grandma? With mighty girl Little Red who is quite capable of rescuing herself, this new tale is bold, witty and wonderful!

This is a wonderful variation on the typical "Little Red Riding Hood" tale. Visually interesting (I love how the color red is used), I think that my younger students will enjoy this book.

Little Red's unique spin on the classic, Little Red Riding Hood was a favorite read-aloud among my first-grade classes this past school year. Initially, I worried that the ending was a bit grim for this age group, but students fell in love with the touches of red coloring through out the book and were able to identify similarities and differences between this story and the classic. I highly recommend Little Red and cannot wait to read it aloud to my first-grade students this coming school year.
