I had a hard time finishing this story as the protagonist's voice sounded much younger than high school, but the content was geared at that age. The description had me really intrigued, but this wasn't my favorite.

I think really this should have been about 100 pages longer. There's a very interesting story that could have been told here, about religion and friendship and misconceptions, that I would have liked to see more of.

This book captured my attention in the beginning, but after a third of the way in, it just... got kind of dull. I suddenly didn't want to keep reading and everything seemed lack luster, unfortunately.
