This book spends a lot of time talking about the males on the expedition. The author notes that this was due to the fact that there isn't a lot of information about Ada, however, it didn't feel like the book was about her. I felt like a more appropriate title would have been about the expedition in general. I also would have expected a little more about how she survived. Was it just the raw meat that mitigated her scurvy?
