The book was okay. I think that this is what I call a sophmore book, it needs to tie some loose ends and bring together other parts of the MC life. It was a good read and dog recipes are interesting. I think other people will like it.

This is a fun pet/culinary cozy mystery. In this one Stan is joining a group of chefs to cook a very important meal for investors and their pets. While enjoying the view she stumbles across a dead body. When her sister becomes involved and two more chefs disappear she sets out to solve the murder. The author does a very good job with the setting and I enjoyed the characters. I liked it that she worked with police. Since this story takes place away from Frog Ledge I did miss the town and the characters that live there. Some of them do make brief appearances. The mystery was good and the solution makes sense. This series does not have to be read in order. Enjoy
