This is my first book by this author so I didn't know what to expect going in. Sierra and Sean were intriguing characters to get to know. I especially liked Sean. I enjoyed seeing him with his team and the camaraderie that it brought to the page. My heart went out to him while he struggled to figure out how to do right by everyone. I didn't dislike Sierra, but I didn't really connect to her as much as I would have liked to. Which I think it was I didn't become invested in their romance. However, I did enjoyed their journey and the chemistry they shared,

Although I found the story a little predictable, NECESSARY RISK served its purpose as the first book in the series. The author did a great job of keeping me engaged, introducing the potential MCs for upcoming books and establishing this new BODYGUARD world she created.

With the first in the Bodyguard series, Tara Wyatt brings us an intriguing read! We’re drawn in from the start and continue trying to figure out who is behind all of the threats until the end, while falling for the sexy bodyguards! Loved the character interaction.

When former child actress Sierra Blake starts receiving threats, she reaches out to security expert Sean Owens who she recently met. Sean brings in some of his best men to keep her safe, and takes her under his personal protection. There’s just something about her that he can’t help but react to.

When the situation continues to increase along with the growing attraction between them, will Sean be able to keep his professional distance to keep her safe or will getting too emotionally invested make him lose his edge?
