I was really looking forward to reading this book, as I'd heard so many positive reviews about it.
I found it hard to get into. The author writes in a really choppy, stacatto, off key kind of way which is jarring and hard to connect with.
I also feel as though there wasn't a ton of research gone into things like the Dirty War, synasthesia or even new york in the 80s. I was disappointed with the lack of LGBT references, this seemed like a kind of poor oversight.
Overall, just not a great book sadly.
