This book was so entertaining. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and was involved until the end. The characters were complex and interesting. I found the story to be well paced and engrossing throughout the whole book. I was invested in the couple throughout the book and felt all the emotions through both the highs and lows of the story. The side characters were such an integral part of this story as well. This is the love story i needed to read at this time. If you want an entertaining and well written book this is it for you

Second chance romance…
Eric and Meghan were still young even though this was, a few years later, a second chance to get their relationship right. Prison was a legit reason to break up and Eric’s journey was eloquently portrayed as he restarted his life, with all the challenges that brings for an ex-convict. He was free now and he was going to make the most of it. Even if that included keeping Meghan at arm’s length. Meghan was devastated when Eric when to prison and dropped her so cruelly. She had a boyfriend now but that didn’t mean the love she felt for Eric was gone… Oh, the complications!
I enjoyed this first read from a new author and found Eric and Meghan’s story surprisingly crazy drama free. There were ups and down for sure but they filled heart-felt emotion into their new courtship. Did I completely embrace these characters? Perhaps not. They were young and still figuring things out but I did find them, Meghan, especially, making decisions that didn’t always make the most sense… That didn’t take away from the easy writing style and my need to find out more about Eric’s sister’s story and wanting more from this circle of friends.
This is my first read by this author and I enjoyed Eric and Meghan's story. Their story is a hot, steamy, second chance romance with drama, angst, and some danger thrown in. These two have an undeniable attraction that Eric tries to fight, but these two seem destined for each other. Eric has had a pretty rough life and made some major mistakes, but seems determined to turn his life around. I found myself rooting for him to stay out of trouble throughout the book. This is a hot romance between the bad boy, ex con, ex gang member and the good girl.
Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
So I enjoyed this one...I really did, but I had a few issues. I'll start with what I liked. I liked the fact that we got the story from both Meghan and Eric's POV. It really strengthened their relationship and made them stronger characters. I liked how much Eric wanted to get his life together after getting out of jail. While he still had some of that hardness, he really was trying to do better.
I struggled with a lot of the loose ends that we were left with. I'm assuming that we will get some resolution about the stalker in Kelsea and Tank's book (because I think that has to be next), but it felt like Sorenson forgot to finish that storyline. Also, I'm a little surprised that Chip just went away.
Overall, it was a good read and I look forward to reading the next one...but only if it's Kelsea and Tank's and finishes off this story.
This book was kind of all over the place, therefore I couldn't connect to any of the characters now story.
My first Jill Sorensen read. This was a good story but I felt like I missed a lot of inside information by not having read her previous work.
