Okay I am really intrigued but the weird time jumps between sections and chapters are really getting to me. It's like there are scenes missing. It was a struggle to get through it.

This book kept getting buried in my list and I don't know why. I always loved the idea, was intrigued by the description, just always was distracted by newer shinier titles and I'm here to say now that I WAS WRONG! This book is a breeze to read but not because it's dumbed down, it's beautiful and fluid and the pacing is phenomenal. I couldn't put it down and devoured it in a single afternoon/evening and went to bed late and tired but so happy. Pick this up now, lose yourself in a new world, and be glad you did.

I didnt have many expectations going into this book and that was probably a good thing because this book was just... ok. It was very cliche for a ya book with some tropes that I didnt feel were necessary to the plot. Penn was my favourite character in the book with Kendra being a close second as they were quite likable and they had a relationship I enjoyed reading about and was probably the main thing that kept me reading until the end. I might give this book another shot and hopefully I might find things I liked more.
