This was an interesting story though I didn't really connect with the characters. I enjoyed the historical aspects of the Cannery and the connection with Steinbeck.

I enjoyed the story about starting the aquarium overall, though it was more so about how aquatic life was studied and enjoyed before aquariums existed. I didn't feel much of a connection to any of the characters, but it was an interesting setting.
