I read this with my 9-year-old daughter. Loved the sense of adventure and atmospheric setting.

I feel like this book took a while in picking up the story. The beginning felt like an arc on camping and bullying and while it wasn't bad, it felt like a filler story before it finally picked up. The book was still enjoyable but it just didn't keep me as engaged in the story as I hoped it would.
