Jessie Hart is to experience some heartbreaks and some unexpected happiness in the final istallment of the lovely series.
Hold your credit card horses!
I love Grampy. What a loving, wise man!
And I love the Gabriel arc.
And I love the girly girl Jessie is! Truly, the feminine side is so often downplayed in the Christian fiction, so I take this as a breath of fresh air. After all, women should bring God’s beauty in - not in the vain in, but to celebrate the One who is THE Beauty.
Sure, Jess is a bit immature in all of that. But also funny and relatable to!
But, unfortunately, the "Jack is (again) back" arc gets really old. And I would also love more character developments for the side characters, namely Piper, who is caged in the "beautiful and faithful best friend" archetyp for too long. Along with some others. But Piper is the character who deserves her own development!
But I enjoyed reading this series. So while I might be going sor some deeper read afterwards, I also might be going for some shopping, too! Call it balance :) and read this lovely series.
