There was much to enjoy here, but I found I couldn't connect with it. I'd read more from this author in the future though. (Really love the cover, still!)

I didn't love this one as much as other people do. I didn't warm up to the characters. I know this is funnier than other books but not to my liking.

Perfect Days is a dark psychological horror about a man who falls in love with a woman after a brief encounter, and will do anything to convince her that their love is meant to be. We follow him as his obsession develops and prompts him to take horrifying action.
The atmosphere of this book is tense throughout, and the author does an amazing job of seeing the world through very different eyes. Both main characters are very different but well drawn, and feel incredibly real. It is never quite clear what is happening, and who is going to succeed in the battle of wills. I didn't see the ending coming at all, and the way the novel builds up to the twist is masterfully done.
All in all, while this novel wasn't perfect - some of the events do stretch belief somewhat - it is a great read, and will keep you gripped until the very last page. You will definitely be wondering about these characters long after you have put the book down.
