Carol Sabbath's Van Gogh and the Post-Impressionists for Kids packs a lot of information. Kids will learn about the beginnings of the Impressionist movement and how it drove innovation in the art world. I was disheartened to see that the author focused on male Impressionist artists. This would have been a great way to include some of the women who overcame great odds and discrimination to be part of the moving force in the field of art.
