The Grids
I have always been interested in crystal grids but never created one. I love the similarity of skilled athletes on a field in a randomly placed as relating crystals and expecting them to work correctly. I think my favorite grid design is the Borromean Rings probably because my favorite symbol is a triquetra. The authors discuss having affirmations along with a focus when working with a crystal grid. They also include the importance of taking care of the crystals by cleansing them and charging them. The last section of the book contains instructions for assembling 29 crystal grids. This is a good book for anyone starting out with crystal grids.
I read this book in conjunction with another one of Llewellyn Worldwide Ltd.'s books, ''The Second Book of Crystal Spells'.. As I said in my review for that book, I have always been sceptical of crystals and crystal magic, somehow feeling like it might all just be a big scam. I really enjoyed 'Crystal Grids' however, since Mason and Petrofsky clearly know what they're talking about and write about it very eloquently. In many ways, it is only a side issue if you entirely believe it. I definitely think 'Crystal Grids' would be great for those wanting to expand their use of crystals in magic and it made for a fascinating read for a novice like me.
