Been going through my old netgalley requests and seeing what I have forgotten to give a review to and what I still need to read. I don't recall requesting this book or why. I haven't read the first books in the series and reading the synopsis present me doesn't have the same interest in this title as past me did.
Really à great story. It keeps you waiting more and can't put the book down. Love this autour and can't wait to reed more books from her.
I always read Manda Collins books. The never fail to keep me riveted
A Maggie sent to an asylum... oh my! For that alone I had to read this novel. But what kept me reading were the two main characters. Though they seem to butt heads they soon realise that they're excellent together and not just in sexual compatibility. Though there were moments where I wondered if the Duke would flog Ophelia, she seems to just think that she can go anywhere if it's necessary. In those days I wouldn't have wanted my cat, much less a friend, in some of the locations she put herself.
A fun read with a really strong message about mental health at the time. I love how Collins has obviously done a bit or research into this.
I love historical romances, and you can't go wrong with one by Manda Collins! This one was a delightful one with great characters, an entertaining storyline, and some charming humor.
