HOT, HUNKY, COWBOYS WITH MORE THAN JUST A WESTERN HAT AND BOOTS
I got my fill of sexy, hot, serious Texan Billionaire cowboys with lots to make a girl very happy.
In The Billionaire Cowboy, Ryder has his hand full with one beauty he can only hope to tame.
The Billion Dollar Player - Dallas Cowboy Jase gets a bigger challenge when he find the one and she makes a difference in more ways than one in his life and the field.
Rocked by the Billionaire - Rock star Luke has enough money and groupies but in the light of day there was only every one for him. Back home he must go to get that fulfillment he craved.
The Billionaire Sheriff - Noah has to a lot more than round up the bad guys to get his girl.
Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
Billionaire Cowboy - This book has everything a well-written novella should have. The relationship between the H/h was defined, yet complicated. We received enough back story about each of them that we actually cared about their outcome. It also had tension and enough steam to make it a breeze to read through. This book was great and I want his house based on description alone.
Billion Dollar Player - Absolutely perfect sports novella. Jase was absolutely perfect! I wish I had more about their pasts, but this story was the complete package, sweet, steamy, and funny. I liked that even though Avery was shy, she was able to battle wits with Jase. And the description of Jase made me want one of my own.
Rocked by the Billionaire - Kayleigh and Luke were so so sweet! I loved that he realized that he was being selfish by showing up like he did. And I loved that she was also willing to compromise. I wished we would have seen a flashback, or some memory of them together as kids, just because I think it would have been wonderful. And Mandy Baxter can write one heck of a steamy scene!
Billionaire Sheriff - A quick read with a dash of suspense and a heck of a lot of heat. Noah and Naomi have been doing the whole "crushing from afar" thing and just when Noah gets the courage to ask her out, her dangerous past comes between them. I would have liked to see more with Noah's brothers, but I was impressed with the level of suspense that Baxter was able to put in.
All in all a great set of stories. And it doesn't hurt that they're all built...and billionaires :)
Have not read this book as I did not get time to read it yet. Will update the review after I have gotten a chance to read it.
I enjoyed all four stories in this one. The characters were all likable, and I enjoyed the storylines. My favorite was The Billionaire Sheriff, featuring Noah. He was my favorite character in the anthology. All of the stories held my interest and provided an enjoyable afternoon of reading.
TALL DARK BILLIONAIRE TEXAN - Mandy Baxter
GREAT COLLECTION OF HOT HEROES - 4 stars
Plot - 4 stars - This is a group of 4 novellas, each about a rich a nd handsome Texan, but each with a slightly different spin, encompassing 4 different lifestyles.
1. Ryder is the oldest Blackwell brother, a cattle rancher who has built his ranch up to be fantastically successful from a wrong-side-of-the-tracks beginning. He's hot for the local vet and manipulates her into coming to his ranch to convince her they belong together.
2. Jase is a pro football player, successful and trying to live down his billionaire status to be accepted for his talent on the field. He falls for a waitress and finally convinces her they're made for each other.
3. Luke and Kayleigh have grown up together, but he left to become a rock star and has now returned to settle some problems in his life. He realizes he's never forgotten her.
4. From a different rich family, Noah is a small-town sheriff. He's always been the quiet and steady one in his family, but he's attracted to an edgy woman who is in trouble.
Writing - 4 stars - I enjoyed each of these stories, finding that each had plenty of back story to build the characters and make them believable. They all had enjoyable happily-ever-after endings without feeling rushed. Baxter did a great job in a small format.
Characters - 4 stars - The men are all hot and sexy, but most of all thoughtful and loving. All super attractive and rich, of course. The women in their lives are strong, with interesting lives, not necessarily dependent on their men.
Title - 4 stars - This is pretty self-explanatory. Although the stories are really about the relationships, not just the men. The woman have important roles and hold their own in these stories.
Cover - 3.5 stars - Sexy-looking shirtless cowboy. Typical for the romance genre--you know what you're getting.
Overview - 4 stars - I was especially attracted to each of these characters. They were all unique, from different lines of work, but all were similar in a good way. Great characters, good stories, all loosely related but still very different from each other. I liked that Baxter created 4 different scenarios--western, sports, music, and police. I look forward to reading more from this author.

4th Story Review
--------------------------------------------------
Main Guy: Noah Christensen
Main Girl: Naomi Davis
Compared to the other three stories, these two characters were just so blah.
I get that Noah was left off to the end as he’s the younger brother, but seeing as how I felt this story didn't measure up to the others, it should have maybe come in the middle of the series as to not weaken the ending.
The chemistry between the two main characters Noah and Naomi felt non-existent and the over drama-kill with the mobsters was just a little too much.
