NELLY DEAN is a nice follow-up for classes that read Wuthering Heights, especially if students question Nelly Dean's reliability in Bronte's original.

I almost wish there was a re-release of this right now in the age of re-imaginings of classic literature.

The book is a wonderful, brash exploration of a familiar theme from a very interesting perspective. It's the kind of read you don't want to put down because even familiar tropes seem new. Wuthering Heights becomes a new, much more menacing horror story--one with a strong female character at its center.
