Anything for Daemon's POV gets a million thumbs up from me.
I really enjoyed this short and I'm always intrigued to see the POV of another character in a book.

Daemon POV!!!

I was so freaking excited when I learned that Jennifer L. Armentrout was publishing this book! The Lux series is one of my all-time fave YA PNR series, and of course Daemon Black holds a very special place in my heart. With the first three books of this series written entirely in Katy’s POV, I couldn’t wait to get into his head to get the beginning of their epic love story from his perspective.

Just a quick note about this book… The audiobook and the paperback retells the story of Obsidian (Book #1). The ebook is Obsidian, Onyx, and Opal (books #1-3) in Daemon’s POV.

At this stage, I have only listened to the audiobook so my review is for that only, but I have the ebook and will be diving into the rest soon because I cannot get enough!

I won’t go into the storyline, because if you’re reading this review, odds are you already know it. If you don’t, then check out my Obsidian review for details.

This book was awesome, pure and simple. Daemon’s snark and sarcasm has always been a huge part of why I love him so much, and getting that for an entire book was just sensational! I loved seeing his reflections on who he is, his life on earth, his relationship with his siblings and friends, and of course, his reactions to his spunky new neighbour and her introduction into their world.

From the hilarious…

Jesus, all this thinking about my feelings and hers was probably going to give me a period.

To the heartwrenching…

“I don’t know how to make you better. I wish I did, but please stay with me. I need you, and I can’t lose you. Not now. Not ever.”

To the badass romantic hero…

“I knew right then I would burn down the whole universe for her if I had to. I would do anything to keep her safe. Kill. Heal. Die. Anything. Because she was my everything.”

This book is a must-read for all Lux fans, and a fantastic way to experience the awesomeness of this story all over again.

5 huge stars!
