This is an enjoyable story on many levels. I love the well-developed and memorable characters. I love the setting of the bakery and the small town feel of the story.

The story unfolds at a steady pace as it goes back and forth between several characters and several generations. This was a bit confusing for me at first, but as the story progressed, I began to see the connection between the stories. The author reveals just enough details along the way to keep it interesting.

All in all, It wasn't a terribly exciting story, but definitely a pleasant read, and I liked it enough that I would probably read more from this author.
