Both a startlingly real portrait of life in a concentration camp and a beautiful story all rolled into one, this book will leave you feeling both sad and happy at the same time, however that is possible. I read this story at bedtime one evening, and found myself still thinking about it the next morning.

The author uses beautiful descriptive words in her story and makes you feel as if you are there, standing right beside the characters. This is a very memorable story with a lot to offer a sympathetic reader.
