An ex-cop discovers that his feelings for his best friends younger sister haven't subsided. What will he do after all these years when he sees her at a wedding?
Old feelings surface for Cole and Piper, will she be able to prove she's a grown woman and unwilling to keep quiet any longer of how she feels?
When Piper discovers that Cole notices her she will do whatever is necessary to win him over once and for all.
This steamy story will leave you on the edge of your seat as you journey as they navigate a traumatic accident and discover love.
The kind of book that if you start it too late in the evening, be warned, you might be up all night reading it! A combination of a great flawed character and the woman who loved him all the same. Though I sometimes just wanted to shake Cole and tell him to let go and see what is in front of him, I understand surviver guilt, and that isn't something that can be let go easily, no matter how much other people say you need to. It can ruin lives and I'm really glad the author stuck to her guns and made him go through the pain. It makes for a more believable character and a much more interesting novel.
Piper was adorable. She's been in love with Cole forever and really hasn't given up hope that he'll be hers someday. Even going so far as drunk dialing him and walking around practically naked. She says she's going to give up, but in the back of her mind she knows she can't and that makes her all the more real to me.
I haven't read the other novels in the series, but I definately will.
Oh, my god. Oh. My. God. Words cannot express how much I flipping loved...LOVED...Wrecked. How have I not read one of Sherilee Gray's books before this?! Of course, I devoured it in record time. The only reason why I did not finish it in one sitting was because it was 3 o'clock in the morning and I was starting to see double. What did I do the next morning? I finished it the moment I woke up and turned into a book zombie for the rest of the day. I adored everything about this book, from the characters to the sizzling sexiness to the author's writing. Piper was fabulous. She's feisty and tenacious. She'll go above and beyond to prove herself to her family. Her determination to succeed is just one of her qualities that attracts Cole. Holy hotness, where can I clone Cole?! The man is sinfully delicious. Just one look from him... Swoon city! The sexual tension between them was scorching hot. There was one scene that I swear I re-read at least 5 times before moving on to the next chapter. Holy crap, if I could have pushed Piper out of the way I would have. Sherilee's writing was phenomenal. I loved the chemistry between Piper and Cole as well as the relationship with the rest of the characters. I need to read the previous books in the Axle Alley Viper series and, if they are as good as Wrecked, I think I may have found a new "must read" author.
A scared hero and a lovely heroine. Piper finally has the place to herself and now she can finally try to figure out what she wants. Her over protective siblings (especially her older brother) have different idea. Enter our hero who tries to keep his distance (while overcoming self doubt) but just can't. There is great chemistry between the lead characters and the author excellently crafts situations that keep the reader engaged. Bottom line this final installment of the Axle Alley Vipers is well worth the read.
