I have read this twice and both times didn't get my review up sadly as it was a good story. I absolutely adore Garrett Leigh and love all her stories.

This time around we have journalist Connor Regan where he tries to find the reason behind his brother Jame's death while he was action.

Nat Thompson is a veteran and he has his own haunts of regret and loss, especially the loss of his best friend. The last thing he needs is a meddling journalist.

Both Connor and Nat have their own baggage but their connection is strong. It is hard not to feel their pull to one another. The more Connor digs into his story the more he's drawn to Nat. What he doesn't realize is they have a deeper connection then they both realize.

This story had heart, where at the same time you also felt the pain. The characters were raw and real and you felt the depth of their emotions. As usual another great story by Garrett Leigh. Can't wait for more from this author.
