I really couldn't stay focused in it. It lost my attention really easily. It was boring. It was not what I expected and was confusing.

It's a bold move, setting your book in prehistory. Sure there's no records to fact check so you've got a lot of latitude for invention, but there's no records, no specific language/slang or cultural events to help the reader get his footing. Much like in a true fantasy novel you really have to build a world for the reader. Beckhorn does this fairly well.
