Caleb Shaw is a rancher that has had some rough times. From finding out, in his adult life, that has a sister he never knew about, helping his paralyzed father, and battling alcoholism, he has had a rough go at life to say the least. Deciding that he was going to live life in a better light, with his new found sister living in the Shaw residence with him, hasn’t been easy…and becomes even harder when he finds the unwanted visitor in his grandfather’s cabin…the one and only Delia Rogers.
Delia and Caleb have always had an attraction to each other, but they have never, since childhood, really acted on it. Caleb saved her life from her abusive father, but was it really a blessing or a curse to Delia? Running from an abusive man and trying to escape being convicted of something she never did has ended Delia back at Caleb. Through the ride of this read, these two find that they are oh so compatible and Caleb is the angel cowboy that Delia has always needed.
This read was not your typical giddyup Cowboy read I was used to. Not a lot of rodeos and ranching happening here, but two children from EXTREMELY dysfunctional families that grew up and had to live life, basically alone. Watching Caleb be the man I knew he was from the beginning, made me cry, more than once. This read is a feel good (but OHHHHHH SOOOOO HOTTTTT!!) that will definitely be on your reread list!
