Murder Most Wholesome, by Staci McLaughlin, is an enjoyable cozy mystery that is easy to get caught up in. The book takes place at O'Connell Organic Farm and Spa in Blossom Valley, California, where Dana Lewis does marketing. When Dana accompanies Zinnia, the farm's chef to a Farmer's Market, they run into Zinnia's old flame. When that old flame turns up dead, Dana must find the killer in order to bring the chef back to work.
This is the fifth in a series. I had never read any of the previous four books, but that did not hold me back from enjoying this book. The story was well written. There were enough twists and turns that I was not able to guess the killer before it was revealed. I will definitely go back and read the other Blossom Valley mysteries that come before this.
I received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
