This was my first book from Rachel Harris and I dare say I loved it. This will not be my last book from her. This was just a beautiful love story, that was to sweet to put down. Annabelle Stone has grown up in the county music industry. Annabelle has had crush on Charle Tucker, a basset since high school. Now both work in the sam industry today has put this in the same space.
Sparks start to fly and the chemistry between the two of then was if the charts. They both try to fight it for so long before and thing happen. The characters in this book were great, including the secondary characters in the book. This book was filled with laughter, love and a great bit of chemistry. This is a great contemporary read that you want to pick.
Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
Well that was just sweet as can be. While there were glimpses of heat and enough chemistry between Charlie and Ella to light a fire, Harris kept things tame - preferring to let the intimate moments take place behind closed doors. Harris created a great little world here, with Ella struggling to prove herself in a world dominated by her father and Charlie trying to get a foundation off the ground. Thrown together by a father who I think knew exactly what he was doing, the two spend a summer together helping one another. Charlie helps Ella break out of her shell and Ella helps Charlie get his foundation off the ground. (Side note: The foundation actually sounds like an amazing idea - is there one like that actually in existence? If so, I would donate immediately.)
I did get choked up at the conflict and then again at the end. I got really invested. I'm intrigued to see what comes next for the other guys in the band.
