SECOND CHANCES - 4 stars

Plot - 4 stars - Many people in Eternity Springs thought that Chase Timberlake and Lori Murphy would end up together, but somehow their personalities don't mesh, their paths diverge, and Chase ends up bringing home a different fiancée.

Writing - 4.5 stars - There's a sweetness and sturdiness to March's writing, especially about this town and its people. I like the continuity and the sense of hopefulness that permeates each story.

Characters - 4.5 stars - This was a particularly nice story since we've been learning more and more about Chase and Lori through several episodes. They've been coupled together since they were teenagers, but now they're all grown up and their paths haven't quite come together. They're still friends, but deep down it seems as though they are more than that. Both are town mainstays, but Chase has been a free spirit, while Lori mostly stayed home and rooted to the town. I liked them together and was definitely rooting for their second chance.

Title - 4 stars - The reference to a "reunion" leads us to the conclusion that there's a second-chance story here, and that is exactly right.

Cover - 4.5 stars - Another beautiful cover depicting the small town and its majestic setting.

Overall - 4 stars - This was another winner in this series. I loved the combination of romance and action, with Chase's story being the climax that we were all waiting for. Lori is the perfect strong, settled complement to Chase's wanderlust. Although he also is a strong personality who would be just the right guy to bring home to introduce to your parents. They are great together, bringing out the best in each other.
