I really liked this book and more than the first one. I liked this couple together and their journey to start something, This is a book that I always recommend when people ask what does a HFN look like cus at the end they are just starting the relationship with out making deep promises to one another. With that I did enjoy this one.
Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
A super sweet read with just enough heat to keep things interesting and short enough without losing any details. Beth and Tony have been doing the whole "I want you, but it's complicated" thing with their eyes since her best friend hooked up with his brother. Beth is now pregnant, prepared to raise the baby on her own, when she and Tony both end up staying at his brother's house. The hormones start flying and it isn't long before they give in to temptation.
I liked that Maher gave reasons for why the two were hesitant to get together. Tony was fresh off of a divorce and Beth was harboring some serious worries after watching her mother and father fall apart. What I liked most is that however much Beth was insistent that she didn't want a relationship, she found herself relying on Tony and turning to him when she needed him.
A sweet read and I'm looking forward to other books by this author.
I was given a copy of this by the publisher for an honest review. For a person that likes contemporary romance, it is probably enjoyable. I do read them sometimes. This one did not hold my interest very well. I felt it need more. The characters were good. The story lie was also good. It just could not help my attention.
