I received a free copy from NetGalley. A who done it mystery, when the done it is cause an airplane crash. Technology is noticeably dated, which makes you realize how the world has changed. Undercurrents of military and politics. A little on the long side.
The first thing that I got to say is this book is for readers who does have interest in aviation thrillers.
My first aviation thriller. Difficult to get into but was a smooth ride thereafter.
Written with great detail on how an investigation of an airplane crash is done, this book gives you the ins and outs of that kind of investigation.
Two planes try to share the same airspace and as we all know, this is not possible. The crash leaves many dead and injured. It describes the process of the FAA, NTSB and how politics gets in the way of these investigations. There is even a secret program involved.
While the members of the NTSB try to resolve the reason the planes crashed, others try to cove up the why. Who will come out on top? Will the blame be put on the right parties and will they be punished? All of these questions and their answers will come if you read this book.
