What happens when there seems like there is too much baggage to ever be with the only man you have ever felt anything more than a physical connection to? How do you convince the woman you realize is meant to be your only that you want only her and the family you could have with the son you are just getting to know?

This is just the start of some of things explored in the story of Asher and Gloria. The history between these two characters is happy, sad, tumultuous and filled with sexual tension throughout the entire story. Gloria's issues with abandonment and trust, as a child and in her relationship with Asher, keep her from taking the leap to have something more than an occasional physical relationship with Asher. Ms. Lemmon does a fantastic job of showing the inner turmoil Gloria is dealing with throughout the story.

Asher is adjusting to big changes in his life, new home, new town, new album, and a son he only found out about recently. He has grown from the lead singer of Knight Time who spent his time with groupies, to a man who cannot get one woman out of his head. Once he had feisty Gloria in his bed now he wants her everywhere he can have her in his life.

This book was a great read and I would absolutely recommend you pick it up for yourself.
