It has been a while since I read this book, however it was actually very memorable to me which is rare. I don't have the best memory however I hadn't read anything like this at the time. I was very shocked at the lengths a supposed friend would go to, to have what they believed was rightfully theirs due to their life's circumstances. I have since read a few similar books yet this one stands out because the author Bunty Avieson, did such a great job at developing the characters so much so that the book became an emotional journey for me as well. For me it was a page turner from beginning to almost the end because of my curiosity to see what Gunny's next move would be. I hope Bunty makes more well developed novels such as this one in the future.

A taut psychological thriller about obsession and the ends to which one will go to obtain the object of said obsession. It's creepy at points, mind blowing in others and yet sometimes predictable. However, this story is well worth the read.
