I loved the Chasing the Dream series when it first came out, each standalone novel featured a fun opportunity for the characters to chase their dreams. More than Fashion follows Julie and Gavin as they compete against one another on a fashion show a la Project Runway. It's the only in the series I didn't quite enjoy, I think that mostly has to do with the fashion theme. I'm not interested and found myself skimming the design descriptions. I liked Julie though, even with her sass, and absolutely loved Gavin. They're compelling characters and their interactions are adorable...and sometimes sexy. While this wasn't a win for me, it's a great addition to a series I really enjoy.

So amazing. I loved all the tropes and romance weaved throughout. Fashion is my passion and I loved this novel for speaking to that passion.

“He was a distraction. I was here to win not to fall in love.”

Julie is in college but she’s not really following her dream of being a fashion designer. However, her life is about to change when she enters a reality TV contest. When she turns up on the first day of the contest, she never expected to come to face-to-face with the British hottie from the night before. Turns out, Gavin’s the competition.

I loved Julie’s passion for her art and her focus. She takes a little bit of warming up but her character is understandable when you realise the pressure that she’s under. She couldn’t afford to be distracted by Gavin but the attraction and chemistry between them was undeniable – even if the sparks weren’t always positive! LOL

Gavin might come across as arrogant and cocky, but underneath, he was a great guy who was pretty sweet and caring, and sooooo sexy!! I adored the banter between them, too, and the intimate scenes were hawt!!
This was a great love-hate, slow-burn romance with a strong-willed heroine striving for independence and achievement of her dreams, and a swoonworthy hero!
