The Fat Artist features seven short stories that are pretty bizarre and remind me a bit of Chuck Palahniuk, particularly Haunted, which is my favorite work by him. The titular story is a twist on The Hunger Artist by Kafka. I lost my story notes and it has been a while since I read this, but I did enjoy it as I rated it at the time. I do recall The Fat Artist being my favorite story. I remember the first story, Don't Worry Baby, wasn't my cup of tea, and then I remember one of the story was loosely about aliens, and it took a while to come together but it had a cool twist. All of the characters are broken, desperate people who end up in absolutely wild scenarios as a result of their flaws and pain.
