A teenager trying her best to fit in? to belong somewhere? I am so into this! Or am I? I had high expectations due to the book's promising premise. Little did I know, I wouldn't love it that much, don't get me wrong, I don't dislike it either. We have this typical outcast and the usual MEAN GIRLS. I know, cliche, right? Good thing that there's a pinch of magic here to make everything more catchy. What I loved most are the references. Both the poems mentioned and the Salem Witch trials, which captured my curiosity from the very beginning. I have always wanted to know things about the said trial but I don't know why I feel so intimidated.

If you love witchcraft, then this title's perfect for you. Since this is a short and fast read, an easy one even, the ending pretty much regarded that there is a possibility for a second installment.

This is a good young adult paranormal novel! I had a ton of fun reading this. Between Olivia and her Aunt, magic abounds and really takes this book to the next level. I loved how there were some historical happenings mentioned in this book that gave it more of a realistic feel. And the 'oops, I made a mistake' part of the book and Olivia trying to figure a way to fix that mistake, made her all the more relatable. This book is well-written, funny and an adventure all in one. I absolutely recommend to those who enjoy a wickedly fun fantasy.

They synopsis of this book made me super excited to read this one, however I could not finish it.

Olivia is absolutely horrible. I have never hated a main character this much before. Not only is she racist, but she’s also homophobic. After her racist comments about the taxi drivers, and then trying to cast a spell on Paul because he is gay… I just couldn’t…. how did this get published?

Maybe with some changes this book could have been good. Unfortunately unless that happens I will definitely not be trying to read this book again.
