In love with this series.
I really enjoyed Maddy and Bran's book. Lots of action and romance.

Lots of action/suspense in this book. It definitely had my attention and I was anticipating what was gonna happen next. The romance was also really good. These two had sparks flying between the two,

And now I can't wait for Mason and Alex's book. I'm getting all kinds of sparks off those two!

This was an ok book. Maddy comes from a powerful and rich family. Bran is her hero. Literally. He has saved her life before and she hopes there is more than just friendship between them. When she gets the chance, Maddy sets up a way to be close to him, she invites him to come talk to her group. She doesn't realize she is setting it up to need rescued once again.
I liked Maddy and how down to earth she was. Especially since she comes from a wealthy family, she isn't snotty about it. Bran has issues stemming from his past and that makes him think he isn't good for relationships. He and Maddy have serious chemistry and he is going to keep her safe, even if it means his life. I liked Bran's 'brothers' and how they always have each others backs.
It was a 3/5 for me. I enjoyed it.

Thank you to the author/publisher for the review copy of this book. I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.

I enjoyed this romantic suspense between Bran and Maddy. I liked the relationship that developed between them and the suspense and action kept me interested.

Julie Ann Walker is now one of my favorite authors! After reading this book I went on Amazon and purchased several other of her books to read! You definitely needed to read the first book in the series to understand this one. This book has a few steamy scenes in it, it is a romance novel. This is a quick moving read.

Happy to be back with the crew on Wayfairer Island. This one is fast paced and full of sexual tension. Having said that, it is a REALLY slow build to the actual coming together. Maddie and Bran have known each other for awhile. Bran wants to keep things int he friend zone. Maddie does her best to convince him they would be good together.

Most of the book revolves around the attempted kidnapping and the fact that the unknown kidnappers are still hanging around. This adds some interest because the reader gets the sense Maddie and Bran are a done deal once they stop dancing around. What makes the story are the secondary characters. Chapters are told in different points of view. I found myself really looking forward to Alex and Mason chapters. That book is going to be epic enemies to friends to lovers I think!

The catch with the series is the crew's ability to find the lost treasure. The prologue and epilogue suck the reader in to the premise and make it worth wanting to read more.

Unfortunately this was a DNF for me. I just couldn't get through the writing style, overuse of metaphors and southern girl, Boston guy cliche
