This is a book for anyone who has an interest in cars. Here you get a good history of the invention, lawsuits, and continue changes throughout the years of the automobile. How also Henry Ford had good changes to the automobile but was also at times part of the problem himself. Just so much in this book and how you get a look from the U.S. to Europe, we are not the ones who continued with the forward-thinking of the automobile.
Hard to believe that from the early nineteen hundreds to the fifties, sixties, and seventies the changes were made in cars and in safety. Here is a good overview and a book that is well worth the read, at least I thought so.

This is a terrific history of the automobile. There is so much more to the story than we are generally told! My older students -- especially the ones who like today's cars -- would enjoy this book.
