Action-packed first in the series…
I really enjoyed Emma and Ryan’s roller coaster ride! A deadly plane crash started it all and from the start the action and intrigue was plain to see. And feel. Told from Emma’s point of view I felt like I was on the plane with her, experiencing it first-hand. When Ryan and his crew came to the rescue, it was full on alpha attitude and capability as they seemed to achieve the impossible…
That was only the start as the chemistry between the lead characters bubbled and made the danger even more complicated. Emma was down to earth even if she appeared to lead a charmed life (until now). Ryan was determined to keep his distance but best laid plans… From one scene to the next it was hard to say what was more tension-filled, the life-threatening attacks or the ‘why can’t they’ moments…
All of it came together into a fast-paced, attention-getting series opener. Ending on a cliffhanger, be prepared to start searching right away for part two of their story – Edge of Surrender - just like me!
At The Edge is a steamy, suspenseful, action packed read full of hot SEALS that grabs you at page one and doesn't let go. Emma and Ryan meet under the worst circumstances, but have sizzling chemistry and an undeniable attraction they can't forget. This is part one of the story and ends in an OMG cliffhanger. I can't wait to read book two!
When Emma Wright's plane goes down in the jungle, she is rescued by a SEAL team commanded by Ryan Owen. The ordeal isn't over for her though, as she has an enemy who wants her dead. Ryan is determined to protect her, and is torn between his duty and his attraction to her.
I really liked both of these main characters and the steam between them. Watching their relationship develop was fun, and I enjoyed the suspense aspect of the storyline. I thought the balance of romance and suspense was good.
Was the first book by this author and was a great read with a great storyline and great characters, just wish it was a 2 part story otherwise it would have been a fantastic read as I hate waiting for the end. There is future books I think with other characters who deserve there HEA. Would recommend thow.
