Michelle Meyers’ thrilling debut, Glass Shatters, is like a window breaking in the middle of the night – totally unexpected. Slowly, she weaves a story of a man who has lost his identity but is haunted by memories. Waking up in a house he doesn’t recognize, Charles Lang is dependent on his neighbors, a widow and her young daughter, to help him piece together some of the puzzle. As visions of the wife and daughter he lost flood his brain, Charles seeks answers in his dreams and the lab where he used to work. Once a brilliant scientist, Charles fears the answers to his wife and daughter’s disappearance but won’t stop till he learns the truth.
Suspenseful and eerie, Glass Shatters is the fascinating tale of a man’s search for identity. A beautiful twist on a fanciful genre, the novel isn’t so much science fiction as a modern Gothic tale. The book thoughtfully poses questions about identity and the consequences of scientific advancement all while building a world where the impossible is possible. I enjoyed adderall generic this book very much and definitely recommend it for anyone who enjoys books with a little mystery.
