Great idea and concept for a book. A thoroughly enjoyable read. Highly recommended. .

Cozy mystery at its best.
Beadmaker Jax has a good heart - an unusual start for sleuth to do their sleuthing, right? But Jax is genuinely good person who cares, so she takes guests for the beadmaking educational week, cares even for the more obnoxious and/or unhappy people involved in this community, and she does not judge. So she cares enough for the death of young and practically homeless beadmaker Misty and the accident (or not) of the unpleasant neighbour Rosie.
Throw in some colourful characters and evenly colourful beads, and you are ready for reading and/or bead jewelry shopping!
This is a cozy nystery at its best - and this is a subgenre I generally don't read (I am a mystery lover, but I prefer more psychologically challenging pieces of this genre). But this has catched my attention for two things - for first, it truly is a warm, nice read (and this is not always the thing with novels - but this one truly has heart) and for second - I love glass beads! The authoress is professional beadmaker and her enthusiasm and knowledge shows.
Sure, well-meaning (read strict) editor could make this novel being even better, as there is many unnecessary scenes and subplots.
But the warmness wins over these faults. I have enjoyed the novel and I have the second installment in this series at hand!
