Once again Miss. Kalan gives us some more of that small-town, Southern Oklahoma, delicious craziness. A place where family secrets aren't always secret and everybody has an opinion on what you should and shouldn't do. And where your family, best friend, and your people always have your back.

Great idea and concept for a book. A thoroughly enjoyable read. Highly recommended. .

After having read the first book and enjoying it so much I was excited to find this second book in the series. This is a delightful, funny story filled with friendship, misadventures and just plain fun. I found myself laughing out loud at several points. I definitely recommend this book, and this series.

This was a really fun book to read. I enjoyed the first book in the trilogy and was excited to see what would happen next for Lilly. That girl just attracts danger and trouble. But I love it.

Lilly is such a strong and fun female lead. She is badass at the same time as she is completely clueless over what happens around her. She is a normal woman and it is so easy to identify with her. You can be so skilled at what you do professionally and still be a mess when it comes to everything outside of work (I would know, I'm the same).

I also love the relationships in this book. Female friendship is portrayed as something positive and strong. You don't mess with a badass girl crew and you stick up for your friends no matter what. These girls aren't bitchy and mean to each other, although they can be mean to people that are trying to hurt someone in their crew. The romantic relationships aren't in the forefront which is really nice, but we do have a hint of something which keeps it interesting.

Looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for Lilly Atkins.

Unfortunately I didn't get by he first part on the series so I could not read this one as it is the second part. So I will need to get hold of the first part one day.

Definitely read the first book in this series so you can meet the cast of characters and understand some references and who the characters are, because they are so freaking funny that you just laugh in reading the misadventures.

I read the first part as well a while ago. It's ok that the reader is reminded of the thing that happend before to bring you up speed again, but for me they were repeated to often. I was distracted and lost track with the new cases in this story. Everything about the southern belle is very clear and it's fun, but once again, for me, it took a piece of the suspense away.
One thing is sure, you can have a good laugh with it between finding a few corpses.

This is a fun read with characters that are easy to like. It will keep you laughing but also provides a little suspense.
