This book is a great introduction to horror for kids, as its a medium difficulty, and its scary but not terrifying plot makes for a perfect first horror book. I love how as you read the book, and as the plot deepens, you start to see deeper than the playful mischief that Lev and Vanyousha perform, and a foreboding sense of old crimes that are starting to unravel. I would recommend this to my students for sure, or anyone who wants an easy and not too scary read.
