I liked this book. I didn't end up loving it as much as I thought I would, but I didn't hate it either. My feelings towards this are lukewarm. What attracted me to this book was the premise and the dogs *of course*.
It did make me laugh many times, but I guess some situations were just too over the top. I loved characters though. So, if you were looking for a normal, feel-good read I'd say go for it!

Main Guy: Aiden Caldwell
Main Girl: Piper Summers

This was so total romcom. You have all these crazy, crazy misunderstandings. Like honestly I have no idea how Piper got through life; Aiden of course is the rich hero, so he doesn't really have struggles.

Aiden is trying to be this super anonymous, benevolent guy, so it kind of gets a little strange when things really hectic. Towards the end everything gets resolved in a super nice and tidy bow and they can get their happily ever after.

My total favorite scene was when piper makes huge major discovery and she's running out of Aiden’s offices and she's dressed in her Supergirl costume so that was like so so awesome. Here she was like “oh my God I just saw you talking about the thing the cops are looking into” and here she dressed as Supergirl catching the bad guy in the act, how kick ass is that.

This story with a little bit of everything, especially a lot of super adorable doggies is a nice relaxing weekend read enjoy.

Let’s be honest, what true romance reader out there could resist a title like this, not to mention the utter cuteness of the cover. I came across this story cruising netgalley and it looked like something I would love, and while there were some moments, overall it was a fun and interesting read. Griffin keeps the suspense up, giving us multiple connected (?) disasters for the heroine to handle and even as her world seems to be falling apart around her she finds love with a billionaire; so really can life be that bad? I enjoyed the plotline very much, never knowing what crazy antics Piper would get up to next and even with all her insecurities and hang-ups I like Piper a lot. One dislike for me was the way the story came exclusively from Piper’s POV; one of the reasons I prefer to read stories written in third person is so that we CAN see the relationship develop from both sides of the story, so having only Piper’s feelings displayed and developed left me feeling a little bit let down. There were plenty of laughs, even through tears, as Piper and her posse worked to unravel mysteries and to help Piper get back on her own two feet. The relationship aspect was greatly underdeveloped in my opinion, with very few scenes in private between Piper and Aiden where the world wasn’t burning down around them. I would have given a higher rating if there had been more time for Piper and Aiden to develop and grow together in love, because even if you fall in love at first sight, getting to the point where you can trust one another enough to open your heart and share your feelings takes time. If you are looking for a sweet romance with lots of wit, sarcasm, sweetness, and just a little bit of mystery and silliness, Casey Griffin’s Must Love Wieners if a great place to start, but those that prefer deep or dark romances might need to look elsewhere. I am looking forward to reading the second book in the series and reading more about Piper’s friends and seeing if they can overcome their own problems in order to find love.

Must Love Weiners by Casey Griffin is a light-hearted romance with a hint of intrigue and, of course, dachshunds!

Piper Summers works at a shelter for abandoned dachshunds. To make ends meet, she works as a taxi driver AND delivers pizzas AND dresses up in costumes to deliver singing telegrams...all while trying to completer her education for veterinary school!! Whewww!! She's determined to achieve her goals, but problems seem to be "dogging" her every move.

Enter a handsome stranger who initially comes to the shelter to scope it out, sees Piper, adopts a dachsie of his own and hires Piper as a dog-sitter! Coincidence? Not likely...but you need to read it to find out!!!
