Page Robert a single mom with four year old daughter with disabilities. She left her home in Texas for better life in California. All she ever wanted was her daughter to have all the opportunities unlike her childhood. However, it's not easy for her with two minimal wage jobs and couple classes. But she is not giving up her hope for her daughter.
JT McKinney wanted to become NFL player until his accident that took his leg and his dreams. It wasn't just an accident that took his dream away, it took more than his happiness out of life from him. Now he develops advanced prosthetics at his own company. He wasn't ready to date or interested in any one until he met Page at the diner he usually go to with his good friend.
Page couldn't believe someone looking like Jake wanted to talk to her. It wasn't just to her, he started a conversation with Page's smart daughter with similar condition. For some reason he wants to help Page and her daughter Casey.
Now Casey is getting closer to JT and they get along really well. Now will they give each other a chance? JT's interaction with Casey is so endearing and she is not sure he feels the same way.
Page and JT are really sweet and care deeply for each other and Casey was a hoot.. I love how they healed each other and find their way. I didn't read the rest of the series, but this could be standalone and I would love to read previous books.
Thanks to Netgalley and Loveswept for ARC in exchange for honest review.
2016 was a bad year for me and posting reviews. I only had some notes and not a full review but here is what I put together to actually post my review.
We finally get JT McKinney story. The beloved little brother whom gets his dreams shattered. After the accident I wasn't sure how it was going to go for JT but thankfully Paige Roberts changes everything when he needed it the most.
"Sometimes men have a funny way of thinking they're doing the right thing even when they're stupid. Especially McKinney men."
I've loved the McKinney family from the start of this series. Though they are all sweet and gorgeous they were all a but clueless when it comes to love.
I liked JT and Paige's relationship, but I especially loved Casey. She made the story.
Thank you for the chance to read and review One True Loves. Unfortunately, I could not get into it and since I didn't finish it, I won't be reviewing.
Worth It All is a beautifully, heart-wrenching journey about finding yourself again and more importantly listening to your heart. There is nothing more miserable then going through life hating yourself and trying to claw your way out from the hole that you think you have fallen into not even realizing that life is just waiting for you to take a breath and open your eyes. Life is definitely hard, but sometimes we make it harder than it needs to be. We hold back with our feelings terrified to be hurt and tossed aside when it could be that the other person is desperately wanting to hear what you are refusing to say. Staying silent and safe can cause you to miss out on the most wonderful gift that life has to offer. Whatever you do, take a change and lay your heart on the line because you could find what you have always dreamed of and so much more.
Paige is living her life one day at a time while stretching herself and her resources in order to make life better for her daughter. She has had a rough start to her adult life, and she feels like she is always trying to catch up. No matter how hard she works, she always feels like she is a day late and a dollar short. When she collides with Jake at one her jobs, the wind is literally sucked from her lungs. He is the most handsome man she has ever seen, and she can’t process why he keeps coming back and looking at her. Those stolen moments give her heart an extra kick and helps to bolster her on the hard days. Jake can’t seem to get the beautiful woman from the diner out of his mind. Never mind, he shouldn’t be thinking about her at all knowing his track record, and he certainly doesn’t need the distraction. His heart won’t let her go. Her soft and beautiful image haunts him until he has to go back and see her again. Can Fate work a miracle and brings these two reluctant people together in order to make their life a little sweeter, brighter, and hopeful, or will the past tear their dreams to shreds before they even take flight?
Paige and Jake pulled on all of my heartstrings and then some. They felt so very real to me in how they felt and deal with their life. I find myself in the same rut as they did being pulled down by the past and directing my future to be better by sheer force of will. It’s only when we let go that we realize that things aren’t so bad, and that possibilities truly do exist. We just need to reach out and grab hold of them when they come by. Love will insert itself into your life, but it will never force itself. You have to hold on tight and welcome it in. I hope that you will welcome it in and never let it go whenever it shows itself.
Claudia Conner writes such beautifully love filled and captivatingly hope infused stories. She knows how to push all my buttons to make me turn to mush and just give up all of my anxiety and worries. Walking through her books is like walking through a dream filled meadow filled with warm sunlight, soft breezes, colorful flowers, strong majestic trees, musical birds, and breathtaking animals. There is truly nothing like it! Pick up this book and experience it all for yourself.
Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
Such a cute story. Jake's world is turned upside down when he meets a waitress at his local diner. A waitress whose freaking adorable daughter is missing a leg (just like Jake). Watching him fall head over heels for Paige (and Casey), was completely sweet. I was smitten the whole time. And while they each have a lot of baggage they make it work. I haven't read the other books in the series, but I enjoyed this one enough that I might go back.
My one issue is that Connor spent more time dealing with Jake's baggage and barely any time on Paige's...when...I mean...her baggage is pretty freaking huge. And I wanted more about Simon and Jenny...they felt added in as an afterthought.
All in all, a really enjoyable book. Sweeter than the cover makes you think, if you know what I mean.

I really liked this.
I’m doing catch up on some books I’ve needed to read and review. I requested this in 2016/17 and didn’t realise it was book 3 in a series.
Although I got a little lost because of needing to have read the previous books I still liked it.
I love the easy reading of this authors words.

Thank you Claudia Connor for another great McKinney brother. I have loved this family since the get-go and Jake (JT) DIDN'T let me down! His strong character and how he holds himself accountable throughout WORTH IT ALL were my favorite elements of his character. I LOVED how he was with Paige, as well as her daughter Casey. He is such a gentle soul, one meant to find true love.
I also loved Paige. She is a hard-working single-mother of a soon to be kindergartner. Casey is her life and her purpose and I love how she gives of herself day after day to make a better life for her daughter.
What I loved most about this story was the slow and sweet journey of Jake and Paige to their happily ever after. Even though it was a bit predictable in parts, I loved how they took things slow as they came to realize their strong love for the other. Casey was also a pure joy and brought a great deal of depth to WORTH IT ALL. Another strong element of the story was getting to spend more time with the wonderful McKinney family.
3 1/2 stars. I enjoyed this one but not as much as the first and second. It had been a while since I've read the others so it was hard for me to remember much about JT - but he was a very like able H. I understood his concerns when he met Paige and Casey. I felt that the relation back to the accident and his feelings about not being worthy of a family were a little hard to swallow. I thought xxx was a strong h and I liked her quite a bit. Casey was a hoot. I have brushed up on the McKinney/Walker history so I am ready to read Nick and Mia's story next.
