Quick and easy recipes that I think will appeal to a wide variety of home cooks. I really like the fact that the author educates people on the fact that home cooking can be just as fast as convenience foods, but a lot healthier.
From the category of the books that makes your family cooking easier and enjoyable, this book adds more inspiration to the list of recipes and planning ideas. Everything is kept simple, healthy and under a doable budget. I personally preferred the section dedicated to various meat-based recipes, as they are very diverse and rich in terms of ingredients and cooking ideas.
I didn't have a hardcopy of the book and because of the images and recipes I couldn't download it to my ipad either so I had to download it to my computer to read from which I found tricky. But the advice was sound and practical, and the recipes sounded very enticing. I was glad to see a grains and pulses chapter, but would have appreciated more vegetarian recipes on the whole. Thank you for the opportunity to read this.
Good book full of new and interesting recipes. If you're looking for a good way to start eating healthier when you don't have a lot of spare time.
Interesting selection of recipes, but not always 'healthy' and also not always 'speedy'.
Not sure how healthy, or how speedy some of these are. Poussin, pheasant, guinea fowl - not my idea of a speedy family supper, and not sure how many 'busy people' have this kind of ingredient in the refrigerator. I guess some will find inspiration for new things to try, but maybe the title needs to be changed - it gives the impression of perhaps more family-friendly everyday type recipes.
