I've enjoyed other stories by Noelle Adams before, but for me, this one was a bit of a letdown. I didn't really connect with the heroine as much as I would have liked and lost interest as a result

Reading Fooling Around took me back to why I used to love lighter romances like this. The angst isn't all consuming, the characters develop quite quickly, it's an easy read, and it ends with a guaranteed HEA. I haven't read something with a Happily Ever After in some time. While it was a quick, enjoyable read, it had some glaring issues. There's a daughter with a mysterious illness that feels just tossed in, the whole book is predictable, and well, per usual it's completely over the top in that it would never happen. I guess I sort of like that though, just wish it felt more realistic. The romance could have used more fleshing out, I think I would have loved it had it not had the child illness situation and more romance focus had been given. Overall, not a bad romance, I think this was a fantastic break from real life and that others will really enjoy it.

Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

That was a cute read. Eric is at his wit's end trying to find someone to help him while his broken leg recovers and Julie is at an impasse after the death of her mother. When he offers her a million dollars to help him during recovery, she says yes. You know how it goes, though. After a few days in close quarters and constant contact, things between them start to heat up.

All in all, this was a cute read. I wanted the two of them to get together, but his gruffness got to be a little annoying at times. Also, I wanted a touch more closure, but mostly with the secondary characters (Maddy and Marie).

I found this slow going and a tad repetitive in reading. The concept was sound but found, in my honest opinion, to be lacking. Character evolution was scatty and disjointed; storyline flowed very slowly.
This wasn’t a positive read for me in that I prefer faster moving narratives.

Good read. Interesting and entertaining characters and story flow. Hard to put down. Would recommend.

This was a fairly decent story of Eric Vincent, a pro-athlete turned video game mogul who had an accident and is laid up and needs help and hires Julie Nelson for one million dollars for three months. Julie has basically been taking care of her parents for years and recently lost her mother.

I thought Eric's character was pretty good if a bit on the cranky side, but I think one of my problems with this story was Julie's character. She was really just a doormat. I'm all for the timid, shy heroine, but there needs to be a little backbone otherwise why would a rich, sexy billionaire want her? Also, I'm not really sure they wanted each other at all. The chemistry between the two of them wasn't really that great. Finally, the story dragged on in a few places and it really was a bit hard to focus my attention on finishing this book. I've read one book previously by this author and I also gave that one three stars because that book also was a bit on the boring side. I think if the author picked up the pace of the book a little bit her stories would be better received.

I know he was going through something incredibly hard but I'm not sure that give shine the right to be such a jerk whenever he doesn't get the news he was hoping for. His daughter was such a sweet little girl I wanted to know what would happen to her but we basically were just told that there is hope now and that's it. I really wanted more than that for her

I have not had a chance to read this book yet. I am still working on catching up and also trying not to get too far behind on other books. I will update this review once I have read the book.

I LOVED this book! Eric and Julie are a great couple, who I rooted for from the beginning!

This book read like a Hallmark Channel movie with unnecessary raunchy sex. I could have done without that. That part of the book deserved better writing. Also Eric dropped the F bomb quite a number of times that served no purpose at all other than to make him look like a thug. Other than that the story was great. The read was fast and it flowed, before I knew it I was finished. I would recommend this book just not to my type of friends.

Julie and Eric have a very unconventional meeting - but with Eric's controlling personality, when he gets his mind set on Julie, he gives her an offer she can not refuse. The storyline was unique and the characters well developed made for a great read.
