It was a good read but not the best book ever. Still enjoyable though.
*I read this as an ARC as part of #ARCAugust (2017) and my arc catch-up challenge. I DNFed at 25%. I had previously read 15% before leaving it aside. As always, this is my honest opinion.
I gave this book two shots.
Overall, I just wasn’t interested in the story. I didn’t care much for the characters, didn’t really get the feel and mood the story was attempting.
I didn’t care for Fin or Eddie, and I cared even less when they were together. I have a feeling the story was going to try to pull a long trying to stay apart before ultimately getting together story line and I didn’t have the patience for it.
There was just too much that I didn’t enjoy for me to get any actual enjoyment from it.
I honestly tried to read this, but I just really could not get into it. Contemporary is just not my thing.
I had difficulty finishing it. So I don't feel comfortable doing a full review. I have enjoyed this author previously but something about the book didn't appeal.
I liked everything about this book except for the plot.
The characters were interesting and it was nice getting to see the fashion world (though I have no idea how true this actually is...)
I didn't care for the second half of the book - the lawyers, family drama, adoption and him trying so hard and just giving it up.
I would have enjoyed this much more without any of that because it felt rushed.
I liked the romance, and the time that Finley and Eddie spend together alone were my favorite scenes.
This just felt like there could have been more.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book

Rating: 5 out of 5
I take back everything I ever said in the past about not liking realistic fiction. There's too many I've read this year that I've fallen in love with to say that anymore.
The characterization in this book is fantastic! Character development is fantastic. It's like you're there with the characters as they go through this journey.
Eddie is a rich boy that is trying to escape the grasp of his not loving family. He's made a lot of mistakes in his past but is now trying to live without his families shadow, more like his dad's, looming over him.
Finley is a goody two-shoes until she meets Eddie, a boy who brings out, not really the worst, but the more daring side of Finley.
There are a lot of obstacles thrown at them through out the book. Things that threaten their relationship but end up making it stronger.
I love the plot to this book. Although I am a sucker for "bad boy" meets "good girl" books this book was different. One: The "bad boy" isn't really a bad boy, he's pretending like he is to get jobs. Two: It delved deeper into the characters personal lives and how one mistake could ruin you entire future. Or improve it. That's the thing I love most about this book. It shows how good things can come out of things that we view as mistakes. Even major screw-ups can end up turning into something magnificent if we let it. I don't think a lot of books show mistakes that way but I love that this one does. One mistake might close one door but it can open up so many more.
Another thing I love is point of view changes. It gives you insight into more than one persons mind and cause some dramatic irony (when you know something the characters don't) which is my absolute favorite form of irony.
I also can't imagine writing a book with someone else. I tried it. Didn't work out so well. So I think it shows just how talented these two people are because they wrote a book together and 1) finished it and 2) didn't kill each other. Bravo.
I defiantly recommend it.
This book initially took me a while to get into. I also didn't realise that this was part of a series, which may have been the reason it took me some time to get into it. However, this didn't prevent me from enjoying it when I finally sat down and got into it. You definitely need to keep your mind open with this one as I considered giving up when I first started, modelling isn't exactly something I'm interested in and the beginning is really slow. In this end, this was irrelevant and it became of the best books I have read so far this year.
The chemistry between the two main characters is the main reason I enjoyed and loved reading this. There is a huge plot twist, which I won't reveal because you're just going to have to read the book to find out what it is for yourself. I think how this was handled was fantastic and really added to the relationship between Finley and Eddie. There are lots of secrets kept between the two of them and watching these all unravel is half of the fun. Definitely worth a read! 4/5 stars.
Captivating plot with amazing characters and perfect plot twists. Once I started this book I didnt put it down until I finished it, love the concept and how (apart from having a wonderful and romantic plot) it also carries a message for teens who are struggling with certain problems (Which are not listed here because spoilers).
Could not finish this book due to problems with downloading the file onto my computer. By the time I was able to fix the problem, this file was already archived.
Of course she falls for him, and as in all books that follow this tired story line something goes wrong. This just felt like such a tired, overused plot that it was not interesting to me at all.
I was really in the mood for a cheesy, slightly crap romance novel - and this was not it. In some ways, it was so much better, because it was actually a decent book with developed characters and an interesting story, but I found it to be lacking in the one aspect I really wanted it to be full of: the romance. I really enjoyed the whole "models in NYC" storyline, and I thought it was a good standalone contemporary, but I wanted more emphasis on the build-up of their relationship.
The romance in this book was incredible, and it was easy to fall in love with the characters and the plot!
Except for a few grammar and style problems, I liked reading this book. The two points of view swapping back and forth helped to allow the reader to understand more of the story, the characters and their secrets. I knew both characters had secrets, especially Eddie, that didn't know and, while I could keep guessing at what they were, I didn't know them until the other character (mostly Fin) found out as well.
Too lovey dovey for. Typical couple. Couldn't keep my interest for long.
